Football Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
