Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had queued up to greet the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
